MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) - Over 7.6 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 20 August, 7.629 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested, which includes more than 6.555 million tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops (96% of the area under these crops, with yields at 32.6 centners per hectare) and 1.074 million tonnes of rapeseed (92.5% of the area, with yields at 29.1 centners per hectare).
The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast harvested 2.059 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed), Grodno Oblast – 1.741 million tonnes, Brest Oblast – 1.558 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast – 879,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast – 732,000 tonnes and Vitebsk Oblast – 660,000 tonnes.
Meanwhile, flax was pulled from 44,400 hectares, which is 99.3% of the area under this crop.
