GOMEL, 9 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash is expanding output and sales, BelTA learned from the website of the enterprise.
“Gomselmash has gone through complicated periods in the history of its development, but the company is currently boosting output and sales of products,” the enterprise noted. For example, the high demand for the Palesse trademark has prompted Gomselmash to increase its output. “In June-August 2020, we produced 200 self-propelled machines a month and sold about 240 harvesters a month, which was 1.5 times more than in 2019,” the company informed.
Thanks to state support, the agricultural enterprises managed to considerably refresh their vehicle fleet and promptly used them as part of this year’s harvesting campaign.
Moreover, in January-August 2020, the export growth rate came at 102.9% as against the same period of 2019. The growth rate of foreign currency proceeds reached 160.9%. Gomselmash continues supplying machines to Russia, Kazakhstan, and even to Africa.
The Gomselmash management also praised the attitude of the employees to their jobs: a lot depended on their unity and the readiness to work more than one shift if necessary. “The company kept working through the pandemic, which allowed creating considerable reserves ahead of the harvesting campaign. Gomselmash products sell well on the home market and abroad. The company's marketing department is now working hard to fill the portfolio of orders,” they noted.
The enterprise plans to make around 230 grain harvesters in the autumn. It is preparing for stable operation in the winter.
The Belarusian holding company Gomselmash is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines. It is one of the leaders on the world market of harvesters and other sophisticated agricultural machines.
