MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Germany may reach $3 billion in mutual trade in 2018, Belarus’ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Germany Denis Sidorenko said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.
“Our relations in the economic sector are very positive. We can see that we are most likely to reach $3 billion in mutual trade this year,” said Denis Sidorenko.
He named the products of Minsk Tractor Works among the Belarusian goods well-known in Germany. “The Belarusian tractor is widely used in small farms in the eastern part of the country. The Belarusian tractor has a good reputation there,” the ambassador said adding that it is reliability of the product that is the most important thing in advancing Belarusian goods to the EU market.
The diplomat also emphasized considerable intensification of political contacts. The recent important historical milestone event was an official visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Belarus in June 2018.
