MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) - Belarus’ exports of agricultural products and foodstuffs grew by 4.9% in January-November in 2018, BelTA learned from Aleksei Bogdanov, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Economic Activities of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
“In January-November in 2018 Belarus exported agricultural products worth $4.762 billion, which was up by 4.9% ($224 million) year-on-year. Deliveries of meat and dairy products grew in physical terms in 2018", Aleksei Bogdanov said.
Belarus exported 340,400 tonnes of meat products to the tune of $900 million, which was up by 7.2% year-on-year. Deliveries of beef and poultry increased by 7.9% and 12.2% correspondingly. Export of manufactured meat products rose by 9%. Belarus shipped 3.871 million tonnes of dairy products (up by 4.6%) worth $1.855 billion. Exports of animal butter rose by 9.4%, cheese by 14.3%, skimmed milk powder by 6.4%, and whole milk powder by 12.2%.
Belarus’ exports of flax fiber went up by 18%, gelatin by 11% and rapeseed oil four times.
