MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – In January-February 2019 Belarus’ exports to Pakistan rose by 2.5 times year-on-year to amount to about $5 million, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Pakistan.
Tractors, Belarus’ main export item to Pakistan for several decades, accounted for half of this amount ($2.6 million). Belarus boosted the supplies of medicines (more than 10 times), baby food (by 121%), potash fertilizers (by 78%), fiberglass (78%), tires (68%), and timber (54%).
The first delivery of a BelAZ rock hauler to Pakistan was a landmark event for the bilateral relations, the embassy said. At the end of March, it was solemnly put into operation at a cement plant in Cherat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
