MINSK, 7 November (BelTA) – Since the beginning of 2016, Belarus has exported $55,000 worth of agricultural products to the United Arab Emirates, Belarus’ Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister - Director of the Veterinary and Food Supervision Department Alexander Subbotin told the STV Channel, BelTA informs.
“It is the beginning of work with the United Arab Emirates. Those were the first meetings, the first contracts were concluded. However, in the first ten months of the year Belarus exported $55,000 worth of agricultural products to the UAE,” Alexander Subbotin remarked.
He said that at present Belarus exports such products as quark and buttermilk. “This is just the beginning, we are interested in this market. Besides, we will be able to branch out into the market of the Middle East through the UAE,” he stressed.
