MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – The companies of the Belarusian Industry Ministry exported some $20.2 million worth of products to Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia in 2016. “Today, the companies of the Industry Ministry and the enterprises of Sverdlovsk Oblast maintain cooperation and business partnership ties in many areas. In 2016, our trade exceeded $44 million. Belarus’ major exporters to Sverdlovsk Oblast are the white goods manufacturer Atlant, the automobile engineering company BelAZ, Kozlov Minsk Electrotechnical Plant, Belarusian Steel Works, the lift manufacturer Mogilevliftmash, Minsk Bearing Plant, Rechitsa Metalware Plant, and the mechanical engineering company Gomselmash.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the cooperation in industry, power engineering, culture, education and other fields, and also agreed that the leading Belarusian machine-building companies will take part in the international industrial trade fair Innoprom to be held in Yekaterinburg in July 2017.

The Belarusian company Belenergostroi and Ural Turbine Works signed a contract to renovate Thermal Power Plant No. 3 in Minsk.
