MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) - Belarus' exports of goods and services totaled $5.957 billion in January 2018, up 29.9% versus the same period in 2016, BelTA learned from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
The exports went up by 33.2% to reach $3,040.9 billion. The imports increased by 26.6% to $2,916.2 billion. The trade surplus made up $124.7 million.
Belarus' foreign trade in goods totaled $5.017 billion in January, up 31.3%. Exports amounted to $2,452.2 billion (up 37.1%); imports grew by 26.2% to $2,564.9 billion. The deficit of Belarus' foreign trade in goods made up $112.7 million.
In January 2018, Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $940 million (up 23.1% from January 2017). Exports of services stood at $588 million (19.2%), with imports at $351 million (30.2%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $237 million.
