MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ export of building materials exceeded $1 billion last year, Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich said at the outcome meeting of the ministry’s collegium, BelTA has learned.
Ruslan Parkhamovich noted that the situation in the country’s construction industry is stable. "Companies are operating smoothly, without downtime and interruptions. Wages are paid on time. The industry hit four of the five targets last year. The export of building materials exceeded $1 billion, which was a record high for the industry. The industry underperformed in terms of the growth rate of export of construction, engineering and architectural services," he said.
According to the minister, it is important to provide construction services in the amount that is necessary for the development of the national economy. Therefore, the emphasis is made on assessing the effectiveness of the measures taken in 2022 to improve the industry.
