MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) - In January-November 2021 Belarus' export of merchandise and services rose by 33.7% year-on-year up to $44.533 billion, BelTA learned from the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In January-November 2021 Belarus' foreign trade totaled $85.088 billion, up by 31.6% year-on-year. Import amounted to $40.555 billion (up by 29.5%). Surplus of foreign trade in goods and services equaled $3.978 billion, up from $1.9995 billion in January-November 2020.
Belarus' merchandise trade expanded by 34.9% to reach $70.767 billion. Merchandise export went up by 38.5% to $35.323 billion, with merchandise import up by 31.4% to $35.443 billion. Merchandise trade deficit totaled $120 million. In January-November 2020 Belarus also had a deficit which was equal to $1.47 billion.
In January-November 2021 foreign trade in services reached $14.321 billion, up by 17.6% year-on-year. Export of services amounted to $9.21 billion (up by 17.7%), with import standing at $5.111 billion (up by 17.3%). Surplus of foreign trade in services equaled $4.098 billion, up from $3.465 billion in January-November 2020.
