MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) – The investment activities in the free economic zones in Belarus were presented to international business by First Deputy Head of the Minsk FEZ Administration Sergei Bubenko on the margins of the Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF), BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk Free Economic Zone (FEZ).
The Yalta International Economic Forum is one of the four largest economic forums in Russia. This year the event is held for the first time within the framework of the International Business Week in Ufa, which brought together business communities from Belarus, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, China, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and other countries. The total number of the participating states is over 90.
“International Business Week is a great platform for demonstrating our investment potential, for establishing contacts not only between business representatives but also between officials. It is a platform where we exchange experience in building relations between business and government, experience in economic development of the two countries,” Sergei Bubenko said. “Our cooperation with Russian colleagues is expanding. Today we have the opportunity to showcase the opportunities offered not only in the Minsk FEZ but also in the other preferential regimes of Belarus.”
The Minsk FEZ Administration took part in the meeting of the expert platform of the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies,organized by the Association of Industrial Parks of Russia and the Development Corporation of Bashkortostan. The participants discussed modern development trends and measures of state support of industrial parks. Sergei Bubenko held talks with representatives of Russian business with the support of the Russian Trade Mission in Belarus.
This year's International Business Week is running on 3-6 December and consists of four thematic days: 3 December- Entrepreneurship Day, 4 December - 10th Russian Legal Forum, 5 December - Yalta International Economic Forum, 6 December - International Business Week. The forum has been organized by the Government of Bashkortostan.
