MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Belarus expects Mongolia to accelerate the ratification of the general intergovernmental agreement on providing an export loan. The matter was discussed as Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Mongolian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Batmunkh Battsetseg, BelTA has learned. The Mongolian official is in Belarus to participate in the international conference on fighting terrorism using innovative methods, new and emerging technologies.
Vladimir Makei and Batmunkh Battsetseg discussed the state and prospects of development of Belarus-Mongolia relations, results of the fourth round of bilateral political consultations conducted by deputy ministers of foreign affairs of Belarus and Mongolia.
Vladimir Makei mentioned trade and economic cooperation develops rapidly. He said he hopes the Mongolian side would accelerate the ratification of the general intergovernmental agreement on providing an export loan. The agreement will allow shipping Belarusian machines, vehicles, and equipment to Mongolia.
The sides confirmed that increasing the level of the diplomatic mission of Mongolia in Belarus will provide a considerable impulse to the invigoration of the bilateral political dialogue at the high level and the top one, to further advancement of economic cooperation between the two countries.
