MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian exhibition has entered the top15 best exhibitions at EXPO 2017 in Astana, spokesman for Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing on 14 September, BelTA has learned.
EXPO 2017, which stayed open for three months, closed on 10 September. "Belarus was one of the most active participants of this great event. EXPO 2017 was visited by about 4 million people. Thus, we can say that our decision to participate with a large-format national pavilion has proved right," Dmitry Mironchik said.
He stated that the Belarusian national exhibition was visited by high-ranking officials, including prime minister Andrei Kobyakov of Belarus, Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, Bakytzhan Sagintayev of Kazakhstan, and also head of the Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova and BIE Secretary General Vicente Lossertales.
The Belarusian exhibition at EXPO 2017 was commended by the World Expo Museum based in the Chinese city of Shanghai. The museum chose 15 best participating countries of the Astana expo whose exhibits will be included in the exhibition dedicated to EXPO 2017. Belarus received this honor and donated a model of the modern gas-fueled passenger bus.
The souvenir shop, which made it to the top 8 shops at EXPO 2017 in terms of sales, presented the national character and identity of the Belarusian culture.
