MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) - At the invitation of the business community of Guayas Province of Ecuador, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ecuador Igor Poluyan went on a working trip to the city of Guayaquil, the administrative center of the province, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Belarus.
In Guayaquil, the largest city in the country and "the economic capital" of Ecuador, Ambassador Igor Poluyan met with Mayor Jaime Nebot Saadi. “The sides agreed to share the experience in urban planning and management, to facilitate trade and economic ties between Belarusian economic entities and the business community of Guayaquil,” the Minsitry of Foreign Affairs informed. The Belarusian Ambassador informed the Ecuadorian side of the social and economic development of Belarus, industrial, scientific and technological, educational and cultural potential of the Belarusian capital and other cities.
Igor Poluyan also held talks with the senior officials of the chambers of commerce and businesses of Guayas Province who expressed willingness to visit Belarus to get familiar with Belarus’ major enterprises and their products and to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation.
