MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with head of the EBRD representative office in Belarus Alexander Pivovarsky, BelTA learned from the ministry’s press service.
The minister highlighted the strategic nature of cooperation of Belarus with the EBRD and the high level of bilateral contacts with the EBRD leadership. He also assured of Belarus’ support to joint mutually beneficial initiatives in various sectors of the economy.
The parties also reviewed the progress in the implementation of key projects of Belarus with the EBRD, including the projects to upgrade infrastructure, to attract strategic investors to domestic enterprises and state-owned banks, to improve corporate governance and enhance the investment appeal of the country.
