MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) - The trade between Belarusian industrial enterprises and organizations of the EAEU countries increased by almost 40% in January-October 2022 year-on-year and amounted to more than $5.6 billion, BelTA learned from press secretary of the Industry Ministry Oksana Karuna.
Belarusian companies had a trade surplus of almost $2.5 billion, up by 80% year-on-year.
Enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry maintain long-term trade and economic ties with partners from the EAEU countries. This year, the cooperation has gained momentum.
Major exports by Belarusian industrial companies to partners in the EAEU countries are tractors, harvesters, agricultural, automobile, road-building and special-purpose vehicle, dump trucks, refrigerators, televisions, engines, electrical and elevator equipment.
In turn, Belarusian industrial enterprises import products of metallurgy and petrochemical industry, parts, components and engines, cable products, etc.
The parties are also building up cooperation in the field of microelectronics, electric transport, machine tool building, metallurgy and other areas of mutual interest.
