MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – The Economy Ministry of Belarus has played host to a meeting between Belarus’ First Deputy Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar and a mission of experts from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), BelTA learned from the ministry's press service.
The goal of the delegation's visit to Belarus was to discuss issues related to the implementation of the international technical assistance project “Stimulating the potential of technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution for inclusive and sustainable industrial development in Belarus”.
The UNIDO experts emphasized significant progress and positive results of the project in Brest Oblast on the technologies of the Industry 4.0 concept, the establishment of a demonstration center of collective use of equipment for smart manufacturing.
The parties also outlined further steps to intensify cooperation in launching a similar project in Mogilev Oblast, and discussed approaches to UNIDO support for social, economic and innovative development of the Belarusian regions.
