MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – The Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus (DBRB) has rolled out a new loan to support manufacturers of protective and medical equipment in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, BelTA learned from the DBRB.
According to the terms of the new product, financial support will be provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that produce protective equipment (hazmat suits, face masks, gloves, goggles, respirators, antiseptics, and so on) and medical equipment. Other entities that are contributing to the fight against COVID-19 are also eligible for this financial assistance.
The interest rate will be 0.5 of the refinancing rate of the National Bank of Belarus plus 2.5 percentage points, which is currently 6.88% per annum.
Economic entities can apply for financial support to the DBRB partner banks and leasing organizations that are taking part in the SMEs financial support program.
