MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) – The Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus (DBRB) will borrow €314.5 million from the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). The money will be borrowed for a period till 1 December 2024 against guarantees of the Belarusian government in order to finance the most important economic projects of the state. The decision is laid down by presidential decree No.440 of 15 November 2021, which has been published by the national registry of legal acts, BelTA has learned.
The Council of Ministers will have to ensure the provision of guarantees of the Belarusian government to the Eurasian Development Bank with regard to the repayment of the guaranteed loan and the payment of interest and other fees in line with terms of the loan. The State Control Committee will oversee the fulfillment of the presidential decree.
The decree came into force as of the day it was signed.
