MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) - Belarus’ Development Bank opened a €50 million credit line to finance exports to the West African countries. The corresponding agreement was signed by Belarus’ Development Bank and West African Development Bank (BOAD) on 2 April, BelTA learned from the Development Bank.
"Our work in the field of export financing is always aimed at creating opportunities for Belarusian enterprises to cooperate with any region of the world. Africa is a continent of great economic potential, a region that draws special attention of the world’s major exporters. Therefore with the support of our partners from BOAD, we offer very favorable conditions for African companies interested in purchasing goods, works and services from Belarus. This will definitely raise interest in cooperation with Belarus,” Chairman of the Board of Belarus’ Development Bank Andrei Zhishkevich said.
BOAD is a financial development institution serving the countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union. Founded in 1973, it now includes Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Benin, Morocco, France, Belgium, the European Investment Bank, People's Bank of China, Eximbank of India, African Development Bank.
