MOSCOW, 12 April (BelTA) – The meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko, Ambassador of Denmark to Russia and Belarus (with concurrent accreditation) Thomas Winkler, and Representative of the Faroe Islands in Russia Bjorn Kunoy took place in Moscow on 12 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The sides discussed the enhancement of bilateral cooperation with Denmark, including after the visit of the delegation of Denmark businessmen led by Ambassador Thomas Winkler to Minsk in October 2015.
“The sides have outlined the ways to bolster bilateral trade and raise the inflow of Danish investments to Belarus. They have also discusses the prospects of economic cooperation with the Faroe Islands,” the press release of the press service reads.
The diplomatic relations between Belarus and Denmark were established in February 1992. The bilateral trade made up $95.3 million in 2015.
