MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Prague played host to the first consultations between the heads of the economic departments of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Czech Republic, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in the Czech Republic.
The parties discussed joint steps to develop trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, issues related to Belarus-EU economic and investment cooperation within the Eastern Partnership and other initiatives.
The consultations also highlighted Belarus-Czech interaction as part of the Belarus-WTO dialogue, collaboration within Chinese initiatives, including the Silk Road Economic Belt and the new 16+1 initiative.
The Belarusian delegation also held talks in the Czech-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Czech Trade Promotion Agency.
