MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) - The first session of the Belarusian-Cuban commission on cooperation in science and technology will be held in Havana in early May, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus.
“In early May Havana will host the first session of the joint Belarusian-Cuban commission on cooperation in the field of science and technology. The forthcoming visit and the preparations for the were discussed in a meeting between Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Alexander Shumilin and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Belarus Gerardo Suarez Alvarez,” the press service informed.
When in Cuba the Belarusian delegation is set to hold bilateral meetings in the ministries and departments, to visit the University of Havana, the Academy of Sciences, the Center of Molecular Immunology, the Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology, and other institutions. It is expected that the parties will discuss promising areas of scientific and innovation cooperation, including in the areas of health, agriculture, engineering, energy and environment.
