MOSCOW, 27 July (BelTA) - Belarus and Colombia intend to intensify cooperation in political and economic areas, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA following a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Colombia to Russia Alfonso Lopez Caballero.
“The parties discussed the ways of intensifying bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic areas and the development of the legal framework of the Belarusian-Colombian relations,” the diplomatic mission said.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Colombia were established in December 1992. In 2015 the bilateral trade made up $28.2 million.
