MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) - Belarus and China agreed upon the procedure of interaction regarding mutual recognition of authorized economic operators (AEO) and signed a roadmap to sign an agreement on mutual recognition of this status during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Qingdao, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
The parties agreed to hold several stages of negotiations leading to the conclusion of this agreement. The customs authorities of Belarus and China will provide, on a reciprocal basis, the authorized economic operators some facilitations in customs clearance and customs control.
China has already signed similar agreements with several countries, and for Belarus it is the first initiative that will help participants of foreign economic activity reduce both time and money costs and will streamline customs controls.
