MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Belarus and China have agreed to set up joint ventures to manufacture clothes and fireworks, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Economy Ministry following the visit of a Belarusian delegation to China from 24 September to 1 October.
As a result of the visit, the sides agreed to consider supplying Belarusian beef, milk, and flax to China, set up joint ventures to produce clothes, fireworks, and dispose of household waste, and to arrange a series of visits for Hunan Province tourists to Belarus in 2018.
The Belarusian delegation held two business forums in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province and Changsha, Hunan Province in order to boost interregional trade and economic cooperation and present the Belarus-China industrial park Great Stone. Members of the delegation met with governors of Jiangsu and Hunan provinces and with the secretary of the Hunan CPC Provincial Committee, and also held separate meetings with top executive of several Chinese corporations: SUMEC Group, Jiangsu SOHO Holding Group, Tuniu, Jiangsu Foreign Economic Cooperation Co., ZOOMLION, Farsoon Technologies, Broad, and BBG.
Several documents were signed during the visit, among them a memorandum on strengthening cooperation between Bobruisk and China’s Wuxi (Jiangsu Province), a memorandum of cooperation in tourism and consultations between the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee and Hunan Province, and a letter of intent to establish twinning relations between Bobruisk and Hengyang (Hunan Province).
