MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) - Belarus and China have signed an intergovernmental agreement on technical and economic assistance, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.
In accordance with the requirements of the intergovernmental agreement on mechanisms of bilateral cooperation for implementation of technical and economic assistance projects as of 20 January 2014, the government of Belarus and the government of the People's Republic of China have signed an agreement on technical and economic assistance.
The agreement was signed by Belarusian Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong.
The agreement provides for the allocation of technical and economic assistance from the government of the People's Republic of China to support the implementation of priority projects of technical and economic assistance “National Football Stadium” and “International Level Swimming Pool”.
The agreement envisages the implementation of the agreements reached by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the talks in Samarkand on 15 September 2022 as part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
