MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) - The State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission (China) are planning to hold a competition of joint Belarusian-Chinese R&D projects. The matter was discussed during a meeting of Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Alexander Shumilin with a delegation of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, BelTA learned from the press service of the STATE.
It is planned that the Belarusian and Chinese departments will hold a meeting on cooperation in science and technology in 2018 and will announce a competition of joint Belarusian-Chinese R&D projects.
During the meeting the parties also discussed the bilateral cooperation in science, technology and innovations, including in the field of mechanical engineering, energy, biotechnology, medicine, ecology and environmental management. Soon the parties intend to choose several high-tech projects for joint implementation.
