MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – The prospects for implementing a Belarus-China investment project to grow and process flax in Mogilev Oblast were discussed in China’s Jiangsu province, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Consulate General in Shanghai.
Consul General of Belarus to Shanghai Valery Matsel considered the matter as he paid a visit to the province. In particular, the development of flax industry was in the spotlight of his meeting with Wu Weifeng, Assistant General Manager of SUMEC Textile. The sides discussed in detail the prospects for carrying out the Belarus-China joint investment project.
Valery Matsel also touched upon mutually beneficial cooperation with Belarusian scientific organizations and companies as he held talks with the president of Giant Light Metal Technology (Kunshan).
The Belarusian diplomat also took part in a ceremony timed to the delivery of the first batch of Belarusian beef to China. The event was organized by Jiangsu Overseas Group Corporation (Nanking).
