MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Valentin Tataritsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus, and Alexander Subbotin, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus, met with Sun Dawei, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of the People’s Republic of China, in Beijing on 10 April as part of the third meeting of the commission for trade and economic cooperation of the Belarus-China intergovernmental committee on cooperation, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.
The parties reviewed the results of the implementation of the action plan signed in 2016 for mutual facilitation of procedures, including granting of access for Belarusian agricultural products to the Chinese market, and cooperation in the field of standardization.
The expanded-participation meeting was followed by a number of expert consultations with the Standardization Administration of China and the Bureau of Import and Export Food Safety of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China.
