MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Representatives of the Belarusian and Chinese railways have met in Minsk to discuss issues related to the organization of freight transportation, BelTA learned from the press center of Belarusian Railways.
Minsk played host to a working meeting between Head of Belarusian Railways Vladimir Morozov and Ju Guojiang, President of China Railway International, a subsidiary of China State Railway Group.
The event took place at the Belarusian Railways Department as part of the visit of the delegation of the China State Railway Group to participate in the international conference “2024. Railroad Logistics: Current Development Challenges”.
The parties discussed cooperation in the organization of freight transportation by container trains within the framework of China’s Belt and Road initiative along the China-Western Europe-China routes in transit through Belarus and in the China-Belarus–China communication.
Close attention was paid to the ongoing work aimed at creating the necessary conditions for further implementation of projects to deliver products of Belarusian enterprises via overland routes to China and increasing the capacity of railway infrastructure on the route of container trains.
