MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) – Establishment of joint equipment manufacturing enterprises was named one of the main areas of cooperation between Belarus and Brazil during the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Brazil Leonid Krupets with a government delegation of the Brazilian state of Tocantins, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Leonid Krupets informed the government officials about the opportunities for trade, industrial, and investment cooperation with Belarus. “The parties identified cooperation areas that are of particular interest to Belarus and the Brazilian state of Tocantins. These include export of Belarus-made fertilizers and tractors to Brazil, establishment of joint equipment manufacturing enterprises, import of Brazilian leather to Belarus, and training of Brazilian nationals at Belarusian universities,” the ministry said.
The participants also emphasized that Belarus is willing to strengthen interregional and tourism cooperation with Brazil. Besides, the parties exchanged ideas regarding the visit of the Belarusian ambassador to the state of Tocantins.
