BORISOV, 12 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian passenger car manufacturer BelGee has introduced a new crossover Geely Coolray (SX-11). The car was demonstrated to Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko prior to his meeting with the company’s staff on 12 February, BelTA has learned.
According to BelGee Director General Gennady Svidersky, the new Geely is meant for the youth. Its carbon mirrors and panoramic roof are meant to emphasize the dynamic power of the Coolray. The car boasts an intelligent high-beam control, an automatic parking assistant, a 1.5td three cylinder turbo direct injection, a front-wheel drive mode, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and fuel consumption of 6.1 combined L/100km. Geely Coolray cars will cost less than Geely Atlas.
After a brief presentation of the Geely lineup, the Belarus President Administration chief toured the company and inspected its welding, assembling and painting shops.
The company currently employs more than 1,300 people. The average salary at the company is Br1,237. In 2019 its output exceeded Br605 million or more than 20,100 cars. Around 17,600 cars have already been sold, mostly in Russia (10,700) and in Belarus (nearly 7,000). BelGee net profit in 2019 amounted to Br27.3 million.
