MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – In 2021 Belarus-Azerbaijan trade in food and agricultural raw materials increased by nearly 20%, the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Belarus Ulvi Bakhshaliyev. They discussed prospects of Belarus-Azerbaijan cooperation in agriculture, in particular, mutual sales of food, interaction in agrarian education, veterinary medicine, and mutual participation in expos and fairs.
In 2021 Belarus-Azerbaijan trade in food and agricultural raw materials amounted to $41.6 million, 119.1% as against 2020. Merchandise export totaled $34.6 million (114.2%).
In January-February 2022 Belarus-Azerbaijan trade in food and agricultural raw materials amounted to $5.7 million, with Belarus’ merchandise export at $4.6 million.
