MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin took part in the CIS Ministerial Conference on Food Security, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
The conference drew together representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the partnership and liaison office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Kazakhstan. On behalf of Belarus, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Vadim Shagoiko made a report. Following the ministerial conference, the agriculture ministers of and heads of delegations adopted a communiqué.
Pavel Utyupin also toured the exposition of Belarusian companies Agropolykhim, RTIflex, Techmash, Minsk Motor Plant, Gomelgosplyempredpriyatie. He also held talks with their representatives on increasing supplies and finding new options for cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The CIS Ministerial Conference on Food Security was held within the framework of the KazAgro/KazFarm 2023 international agricultural exhibition.
