MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Angola are eager to intensify their trade and economic ties. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti in New York, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties stressed mutual eagerness to intensify Belarusian-Angolan ties in politics, trade and economy. They agreed that the Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs will visit Belarus to study the potential for bilateral cooperation,” the press service said.
BelTA reported earlier that Vladimir Makei is currently on a visit to New York that is hosting the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Belarusian diplomat has already had a number of meetings with his colleagues from the countries of Europe and other regions.
