Belarus among top 5 partners of Russia’s Bashkortostan

Belarus among top 5 partners of Russia’s Bashkortostan
MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarus makes into Top 5 countries Bashkortostan cooperates with, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of Bashkortostan Margarita Bolycheva told the media.

“Belarus is one of the key foreign economic partners of Bashkortostan. Currently, there top five countries, including Belarus, which are priority ones for us. It is worth mentioning that trade with Belarus keeps growing, and for the current period it is almost 10% up year-on-year. Here we are talking about export and import operations. One of the important criteria for the growth of trade is, of course, the number of business visits to both Bashkortostan and Belarus. Another visit led by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko took place today, and it was timed to mark the opening of the Amkodor plant. Today we have also launched construction of a new plant on the territory of the Ufimsky Industrial Park,” Margarita Balycheva said.

In her words, Belarus and Bashkortostan exchange goods of almost the entire range of national and industrial consumption. “These are food products, light industry products. We also enjoy robust industrial cooperation. Last year we opened new dealership centers that operate in Bashkortostan and sell automotive products of Belarus. Our goods are in demand and well sold in Belarus. As for today, the average number of mutual visits reaches 30. We visit not only Minsk, but also Vitebsk, Gomel, and other regions which are important for us. Some of them are our twinning regions. We have the corresponding agreements, including the ones signed at the Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus. We are open for our partners,” the minister said.

According to Margarita Bolycheva, sanctions mean exceptional opportunities. “These are the opportunities that were covered by some obvious interests of other countries, and today we discover Belarus in a new way. We find absolutely unique goods, which are of high quality, beautiful, tasty, and have the whole spectrum necessary for the consumer. We are also happy to share what we produce in Bashkortostan. We see a clear feedback and interest in our products from the consumers of Belarus,” the minister said.
