MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – Belarus has set forth a task to reach $100 million in the exports of food products to China, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.
“Today we sell our food products to almost 80 countries. The Chinese market is one of the main destinations. We are just making the first steps. Last year we exported $17 million worth of food products there. This year’s goal is to reach $100 million. China is happy with the quality of the Belarusian food products,” said Mikhail Rusy.
More than 30 domestic companies have already been attested to deliver their products to China.
“First of all, we must not abandon our traditional markets. Secondly, we need to develop the markets of third countries: Syria, Egypt, and Turkey. We also work with European markets and deliver products to the United States,” Mikhail Rusy said.
