MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Belarusian agricultural enterprises of all types (state-run agricultural enterprises, private farming enterprises, and personal subsidiary economies) turned out Br17.3 billion worth of agricultural products in January-November 2017, up 4.1% from the same period a year earlier , BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.
State-run agricultural enterprises produced Br14 billion worth of merchandise, up 5.3% from January-November 2016 in comparable prices.
As of 1 December 2017 state-run agricultural enterprises harvested 12.7 million tonnes of fodder, including 8.6 million tonnes of grass fodder.
State-run agricultural enterprises produced 1,583,200 tonnes of livestock and poultry (in live weight), an increase of 3.3% over the same period of last year. The production of milk was 6,425,900 tonnes, up 3.2% over the same period of 2016.
As of 1 December 2017 the cattle population in the state-run agricultural enterprises made up 4.3 million, up by 1.6% as against same period of last year, including 1.4 million cows (up 0.3%). The number of hogs totaled 2.8 million (up 2.8%).
