MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) - The agricultural output by all types of agricultural producers (state-run enterprises, private farms, subsidiary plots of individuals) reached Br33.1 billion in Belarus in 2023, up by 1.1% from last year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
Agricultural enterprises manufactured Br26.8 billion worth of products, up by 2.2% in comparable prices year-on-year.
Major contributors to agricultural production were Minsk Oblast (26.6%) and Brest Oblast (22.5%), followed by Grodno Oblast (17.3%), Gomel Oblast (12.2%), Vitebsk Oblast (10.8%) and Mogilev Oblast (10.5%).
The enterprises of all categories produced 1.781 million tonnes of live weight of livestock and poultry, 8,331.2 million tonnes of milk , 3,438.8 million eggs . The gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 7.7 million tonnes, that of rapeseed - 0.9 million tonnes, potatoes - 4 million tonnes, vegetables - 2.8 million tonnes, sugar beet - 4.8 million tonnes.
Agricultural organizations accounted for 97.1% of the national production of livestock and poultry (in live weight), 97.7% - milk, 85.2% - eggs, 94.6% - grain, - 96%, rapeseed - 97.8% sugar beet, 14.4% - potatoes and 5.9% - vegetables.
