MOSCOW, 10 August (BelTA) – A batch of 17 new buses has been delivered to the Russian city of Yekaterinburg. Another 41 vehicles will be shipped by late August, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.
The Yekaterinburg city administration has taken the MAZ buses on lease as the city is gearing up to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The buses with improved performance characteristics are appropriate for the weather conditions of the Urals.
MAZ 203L65 buses are environmentally friendly vehicles running on methane. They are equipped with a tilting system that helps them automatically rectify their bodies when going uphill or downhill. The fuel distance is up to 800km. The buses have reliable engines and automatic gearboxes from the world's leading manufacturers. They are also equipped with wheelchair-access ramps.
The new vehicles will serve the busy routes in the center of Yekaterinburg.
