MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – As from 1 January 2018 the base amount in Belarus will be raised to Br24.5 in line with the Council of Ministers’ resolution No.997 of 22 December 2017, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.
At present the base amount stands at Br23. Thus, it will go up by Br1.5 on 1 January 2018.
The base amount is used to determine several welfare benefits, scholarships, taxes, duties, fines, and other payments.
The base amount was previously changed on 1 January 2017. Back then it went up from Br21 to Br23.
