MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – The trade between Belarus and Russia is growing at a fast pace, Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst with the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR), said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus’ manufacturing industry, agriculture, our producers can fully replace certain goods and services that are imported, which will help boost trade [between Belarus and Russia]. Already over 4-5 months, the trade has grown significantly. The two countries are very likely to be able to maintain momentum, and we will see good results by the end of 2022,” Aleksei Avdonin said.
The analyst added: “The most important thing is that it will contribute to the efforts to improve the well-being of citizens of the Republic of Belarus and citizens of the Russian Federation.”
