MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – Belarus is in negotiations on setting up facilities to assemble tractors and agricultural machines in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The matter was high on the agenda of the latest working trip of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Brazil Alexander Tserkovsky, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The Ambassador visited the city of Porto Alegre on 29-30 November where he met with Rio Grande do Sul Governor Jose Ivo Sartori and top officials of the industry federation, the agriculture federation, the federation of trade associations and services of Rio Grande do Sul.
The negotiations also touched on ways to step up interregional cooperation between Rio Grande do Sul and Gomel Oblast as well as the promotion of Belarus’ trade, economic, and investment potential in Brazil.
