MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor will step up supplies of farm machines to Russia's Vologda Oblast, governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov said as he attended the official opening of Belagro 2018, BelTA has learned.
“We are implementing a joint project “Union State Tractor”. Literally yesterday we signed the agreement and approaching ‘the home stretch’ . Thanks to the support of the Belarusian Industry Ministry and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, we plan to double the production of Belarusian tractors in Vologda Oblast. Today we have agreed with MAZ on opening a dealership and maintenance center for Belarusian buses in our region and reached an agreement with Amkodor to increase supplies of farm machines and forestry equipment. As part of the large Russian delegation we have signed several agreements that open a new window of opportunity for the development of integration and cooperation ties,” Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov said.
The international agriculture expo Belagro 2018 kicked off at the Globus Park trade and logistics center in the agro-town of Shchomyslitsa, Minsk District on 5 June. Taking part in the expo will be 536 companies from 28 countries, including Austria, the UK, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia, the United States, Ukraine, and Finland. Collective stands are showcased by the Agriculture and Food Ministry, Industry Ministry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belgospishcheprom, Belkoopsoyuz, other ministries and agencies of Belarus.
