MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Sergei Terentyev told the STV TV channel about Belarus’ prospects in Africa, BelTA reports.
“A broad range of Belarusian technologies and equipment is available on this market. However, we want to team up with the Egyptians in order to expand into other African countries through our sales channels and Egyptian sales channels. I mean Egypt’s neighboring countries and sub-Saharan Africa. I think this holds a lot of promise. This primarily concerns engineering products,” said Sergei Terentyev.
Of course, Belarusian food is also in demand, the ambassador emphasized. “There is demand for Belarusian food on the African continent, including in the countries where I serve, which are Egypt, Sudan, Algeria,” he emphasized. “I think Belarusian milk and meat products have very good sales prospects here. I would like to see more Belarusian foodstuffs, such as confectionery, bakery products, various fat and oil products on this market. I think everything is in place to successfully promote these products in Africa,” the diplomat added.
