MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – There are agreements on the design of new residential areas in Venezuela for housing construction by Belarusian specialists, Belarus’ Architecture and Construction Minister Anatoly Chernyi told the media, BelTA has learned.
“A lot of projects have been implemented in Venezuela. Among them in the construction of plants to assemble tractors, MAZ trucks, road construction equipment, produce brick. The main cooperation program is housing construction in Venezuela. A number of residential areas have already been built. Despite the recent financial problems in Venezuela, Belarusian specialists continue building houses there. The commissioning of the next four houses designed for 240 apartments is scheduled for 7 November,” the minister said.
According to him, the inauguration ceremony for new buildings will be attended by Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro. The houses were built in the Venezuelan capital Caracas.
“We have opportunities here. House cases for 2,200 apartments have already been built. There are financial problems, but if there is a partial payment, we meet our partners halfway and commission houses. I think that the visit of the president [of Venezuela] will provide additional impetus to the commissioning of these houses," Anatoly Chernyi said.
“There are also agreements on the allocation of new residential districts. The housing construction prospects will largely depend on the visit,” Anatoly Chernyi stressed.
Belzarubezhstroi Company has been building houses in Venezuela since 2007. Three contracts are underway to build 19,968 apartments.
