DUSHANBE, 27 September (BelTA) – The first contract will soon be signed with Afghanistan on the delivery of Belarusian tractors assembled in Hisor, Tajikistan, Belarus’ Ambassador to Tajikistan Oleg Ivanov told the media on 27 September, BelTA has learned.
According to the diplomat, the leaders of the two countries instructed their governments to think about entering third countries with jointly manufactured products. “During the visit of the two presidents to the site [the assembly plant in Hisor], we plan to sign the first contract with Afghanistan on the delivery of Belarusian tractors assembled here. Afghanistan asked to resume the production of these models for its market,” Oleg Ivanov said.
“The first tractor sets were delivered here one week ago. The lines are ready for the production to kick off. I hope that the first tractors destined for Afghanistan will roll off the line in the presence of the two presidents,” Oleg Ivanov added.
