MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – Forty companies from Pakistan have registered to take part in the Belarus-Pakistan Business Forum in Minsk, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov said in an interview to Belarus One TV channel on 10 August, BelTA informs.
“40 Pakistani companies have voiced their intention to participate in the business forum. It proves Pakistan’s interest in our country,” Mikhail Myatlikov said.
In his words, Belarus and Pakistan increases bilateral trade through bigger mutual supplies of new commodity items. In H1 2015 their number exceeded 33.
Mikhail Myatlikov’s opinion was echoed by Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats. “Cooperation becomes more vigorous. In H1 2015 Belarus supplied $435,000 worth of dairy products to Pakistan. It is 2.5 times higher than last year. Samples of milk powder and whole milk products were acknowledged as of high quality at Pakistani laboratories,” the minister added.
As was informed, the Prime Minister of Pakistan is in Belarus on an official visit on 10-12 August. It is expected that the Prime Minister will hold a series of meetings, visit some machine-building enterprises. The Pakistani Premier held talks with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 10 August.
The Belarus-Pakistan Business Forum will be held as part of the program of the official visit of the Pakistan Prime Minister to Minsk. Nawaz Sharif will also give a brief lecture to students and professors of the Belarusian State University.
