Vucic: We are proud of our friendship with Belarus

BELGRADE, 3 December (BelTA) -  Once Serbia was ashamed of friendship with Belarus. Now we are proud of our friendship, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at the talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Belgrade on 3 December, BelTA has learned.

Serbia will always be your true friend. We are proud of our friendship. There were times when some people did not dare to say how much we value and love the Belarusian people. Today we talk about it with pride everywhere and we want you to come here as often as possible,” the Serbian leader noted.

The president is confident that the visit of the Belarusian leader to Serbia will add an impetus to bilateral relations. “We have the potential to increase trade and boost relations in all the areas. Over the past two days I have learned a lot from President Lukashenko, including in matters of defense and security,” the Serbian leader said.
